- select the Go option available under the Finder menu and choose the Utilities option.
- Double-click on the Activity Monitor option and search for the entries of WD Drive Utilities, WD Drive Utility Helper, and WD Drive Agent.
- Select all the entries and tap the Quit Process option.
- Now, choose Applications from the Finder menu and right-click on the WD Drive Utilities app. Select the Move to Trash option.
- Enter the Administrator password if required. Tap the Option key while clicking the Go menu. The Library will be opened. Search for the following entries:
- Com.WDc.branded.driveutility
- com.westerndigital.WDDriveUtilityInstaller
- Com.WDc.branded.driveutility.plist
- Make use of the rm command in the terminal to delete these files.
