  • Then, select the Download button to begin the download process of WD Drive Utilities on your Mac automatically.
  • Do the following steps to install the WD Drive utility software on your Mac.
  • Double-click the downloaded executable file and then select the open button to open it on your Mac computer.
  • Click the ‘I have read and agree to the EULA and WD’s Privacy Policy’ option to accept the terms of the agreement.
  • Now, click the Install button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Now, the WD Drive utility software starts to install.
  • Type the username and password when the next window appears on the screen.

UNINSTALL WD DRIVE UTILITIES MAC

There are two methods uninstall WD Drive Utilities application. Go with anyone of the methods to uninstall the app.

    METHOD-1:
  •      From Finder, choose the Go option and select the Applications option.
  • Double-click on the MacRemover icon and find the WD Drive Utilities app.
  •     Select it and tap the Run Analysis option. Click the Complete Uninstall option, and the app will be uninstalled.
    METHOD-2:
  • select the Go option available under the Finder menu and choose the Utilities option.
  • Double-click on the Activity Monitor option and search for the entries of WD Drive Utilities, WD Drive Utility Helper, and WD Drive Agent.
  • Select all the entries and tap the Quit Process option.
  • Now, choose Applications from the Finder menu and right-click on the WD Drive Utilities app. Select the Move to Trash option.
  • Enter the Administrator password if required. Tap the Option key while clicking the Go menu. The Library will be opened. Search for the following entries:
  • Com.WDc.branded.driveutility
  • com.westerndigital.WDDriveUtilityInstaller
  • Com.WDc.branded.driveutility.plist
  • Make use of the rm command in the terminal to delete these files.
  • The WD Drive Utilities are now uninstalled completely from your Mac system.
